Welcome to Barefoot Yoga & Fitness!

Barefoot Yoga & Fitness is a true first for the village of Lucan.Noticing that the area was lacking a fitness studio that brought all aspects of fitness together under one roof, this custom built studio was developed and is the only studio in the area that offers a full range of yoga and fitness classes, from beginner to expert levels.

Also offered at Barefoot Yoga & Fitness are Hot Yoga, Hot Yogalates, Pilates, Boxercise, Kettlebells making Barefoot Yoga & Fitness a pioneer facility in the Yoga and Fitness industry.

All our instructors are fully qualified and experienced and genuinely care for your well-being. We keep our class numbers small enough to know each individual and cater to everyone's needs. Our studios are warm and friendly with a community atmosphere.

Fitness class Why not try one of our class passes. A class pass covers all of our Hot Yoga, Yoga, Pilates and Fitness classes. You can purchase a Pass for 6, 10 or 15 Classes, allowing you to choose a class and a time that suits your lifestyle and schedule. Class passes are available to purchase in the studio or online from our Bookings page.

Tai Chi is a holistic martial art seeking to use internal energy (‘Chi’) for good health, self-development and self-defence. To help realise the famous soft power of internal energy, the initial training concentrates on slow, relaxed, flowing movement. This makes it adaptable to many levels of health and fitness. Through this inclusive approach, Tai Chi has become regarded the world over as a fun and effective way to strengthen mind, body and spirit for young and old alike. Tai-Chi exercises and routines become like moving meditation allowing practitioners to increase their awareness and well being. Water is a great Tai Chi example it always flows, it always looks for depth, it always sinks, when facing obstructions, it never forces them, but instead finds its alternative course softly, gently and in a round shape. Our children's lives are busy. Our family lives are busy. Movement, storytelling, music and play are combined with the yoga practice to create a very unique and fun experience. Learn to relax together building lifelong skills to help with those crazy moments which are all part of parenting. We know that yoga helps us connect with ourselves but a little known secret is that it helps us to strengthen that connection, spend time together and focus on each other! It's difficult to take time out to sit together, listen, talk, connect . HOT YOGA TOMORROW @ 8.30PM The heat provides a method of detoxing and also encourages your body to become more limber and flexible giving you a full body workout! Athletes have been known to use this type of heat to relieve aches, pains and strains, and also to help move along the healing process because it is believed to help make circulation more efficient. As you may know, wounds heal faster with better circulation, and this is also true of muscle and tissue trauma. A major factor is gaining the full benefits of any Hot Yoga class is to come hydrated to the class. Please bring a towel, water and your own mat to class.
